Lesson from the Spirit
I asked the Spirit how a person can open up. The Spirit answered, “Everything in its own time.”
A closed pink bud is shown.
“You can force this flower to open, but will it be as beautiful as if it opens by itself? Do not use force in opening yourself or another person. Each does this by his or her own path of knowing. Each does it in their own time and under certain conditions.
You can force this bud open, but what will come of it? Is that good?”
They show how the petals are all torn from the base and fall to the ground.
“Open yourself as you are ready, as needed, according to the response of your own soul.
If you go by force, you will see powerlessness. For where there is coercion there will be no true opening. Do not go by coercion, by whim, or by someone else’s will. Go by your inner response, trusting the voice of your spirit, in accordance with readiness and necessity. If you force the bud open, you will peer inside for a moment, but then…”
“What will happen then?”
“The light will go out. That light inside the flower will be extinguished. And you will be left only with irritation, unbelief, disappointment, and an emptiness that will be hard to refill, like a dried reservoir. Do not hurry and do not rush. Knowing yourself, knowing God within each of you, is a process that requires attention.
What is this flower to you? It is you yourself. Is it better to hasten and ruin it? Let it fill with energies so that in one beautiful moment it will reveal its beauty. Allow this bud to blossom, allow it to fill with the energies of the Creator.”
“How can one influence the opening?”
“If you keep this flower in the shade, it will never open. To help it open, fill it with the energy of light — the warm, blessed energy of the true Creator. It is within your power to do this.
Listen to your inner voice and follow the response of your soul.
Desire your opening gently, harmoniously, in full readiness and according to the needs of the unfolding processes. So be it.”
