Advice from the Spirit

Do you know that water possesses a tremendous quality? Like any element, it can destroy and create, guide and govern.

When you guide someone, you give them support, certain landmarks on which they can rely to arrive at the highest awareness, trusting and opening themselves. But where you govern someone, you are only trying to live their life for them, doubling your own years while shortening your life. This is not about fewer years on the calendar; it is about whether you derive joy from that life.

Do not force or compel with your persistence someone to follow routes for which they are not ready. Only the one who believes in and awaits support, who hopes and expects to receive it, will ask for help.

Where a person has not come to that understanding, it is foolish to implant your foreign ideas. No matter how bright and pure your intentions, in the greater scheme of things this creates only a dissonance within the one you try to control. And that dissonance can cause far more pain than if you had given up your insistence.

Walk the path of enlightenment; direct the minds of the sleeping where they are ready to see that light. Guide as if with caring hands along the road of life, as if with a tender heart embracing another’s soul, leading in compassion and mercy the hand that is willing to be taken.

Not because it is right or required, but because they are ready. And therefore they will come to that point of opening in their consciousness where they will recognize the true light.
