Lesson from the Spirit
“You stand on a large ledge, so high, high above the ground. What separates you from a single step?”
“Fear of crashing.”
“And if you look deeper?”
“I am not ready.”
“Unfinished business. Unfinished business is your engine.
You often complain that you can’t go on like this, that you can’t take the situation, you scold yourself and others only because you don’t want to accept the truth.
And in moments of despair and fear, you can do much harm: lose faith, become disillusioned, grow shallow, dissolve in your own ignorance and unawareness, and never find your true self.
Each time you force yourself into the confines of such states, you dissolve yourself in them.
Sometimes it’s complete, and then it’s very hard to get out, to gather yourself together to begin your path, to continue it with a full understanding of the necessity of the lived experience and with a complete rejection of past states. Those states are not your companions.
The edge. It’s very important to sense that edge between you and that state of despair that envelops you, consumes you.
Each time you feel something like that, imagine wings—extraordinary, bright, glowing wings—behind your back. They exist, they are everywhere. These wings are the unfinished things you did not allow to be realized, the things you did not allow to happen: your family, your hobby, inspiration, your capacity to observe, your enjoyment of the world that surrounds you, your love. All that will allow you to find yourself, to find a way out of the situation.
For all of this is you, your true self, not the one trapped in the snare of despair, hurt, and malice.
A trap exists to hold. But who are you to allow it to be so?
You are the inspirer, you are the creator, you are the one who sees the world through God’s eyes. Would He want such an outcome for you? No. It is only your choice.
To be down there, feeling the viscous sensation that holds you, or to soar with your soul, to allow the best to happen to you.
Shows, so many people! I stand on a cliff, on a rock, on an edge. And countless people, like angels, fly very, very high in the sky, stretch their hands upward, and rise out of the quagmire.
