A Lesson from the Spirit

Yesterday something incredible happened to me during practice.

Energies began entering me. I felt Shiva touch me. I felt my heartbeat quicken and another, slower heartbeat below my right eye. Then there was light in my right eye and I began to see only with it, while the left felt as if it were shaded by a hand. My eyes were closed.

I see myself as an eagle soaring in the sky, flying high and looking far down, and there in the grass I can spot a little mouse. Then I dive beneath the earth, where everything is huge — the grains of sand are so large, I see the roots of the grass and how the grass rises up like skyscrapers. Then I saw dolphins. I saw fish in the water and a kind of radiation, like ultrasound, spreading and echoing through the water. And the Spirit said:

-So you can see more of the world around you, feel how it lives, understand its needs, understand its freedom — of every earthly creature.
-Amazing! No fear, only a feeling of freedom, of soaring, a sense of absolute unity with nature.
-I gave you the sense of how you should feel the world, I gave you understanding of how this world is arranged, how harmonious and free it is.
-Yes, until someone gets eaten — I thought to myself as if reasoning.
-They know who they are — links in the food chain.
Animals live by fears. I showed you how the human soul is arranged. It can see and feel the world in an entirely different way. You are endowed with qualities that animals lack. Your soul can sense that freedom, can enjoy this world, if only you allow it to be, if you allow yourself that freedom, if you permit yourself this world.

And my eyes began to see equally again.

I was astonished and amazed at what I had seen, at how I could feel.
-This is so incredible, amazing, unreal!
-Are you here by compulsion, or by your own will?
-By my will, of course.
-Then why are you amazed? You came to learn and to be taught, not to be astonished. Astonishment comes from unbelief, from distrust. You must believe, feel, and see.
If you come for knowledge, do not be amazed, but accept all that is given to you, for that is why you came. Learn, be taught, and grasp the basics of a new vision of the world.
