A Lesson from the Spirit

I saw Babaji; he made a mudra—hands in prayer at his brow. A rhombus-shaped crystal lit up in his forehead. I repeated the mudra and felt light in the brow area—a very powerful current. It was like a portal opening, as if a tunnel of rings of light had formed. I flew through that tunnel and saw fragments, flashes of some worlds, and then I found myself in a white room. In the left far corner there was a little stump; it stood out against the white walls—bark and green moss. It looked like a piece of another world—an earthly piece—while everything here was unearthly, beautiful, divine.

Then I found myself in a long white hall. Along the edges of that hall the same stumps were placed. I walked down the very center.

“Why did I see a stump among the white walls—what is that?”
“That is the place you assigned yourself. The place you assign to yourselves.
Those stumps along the walls are the place you give yourselves, the place of the observer. Instead of bravely and confidently walking down the center of the hall, moving forward in full trust, you have allotted yourselves a place by the wall—you sit and observe.

You have given yourselves that earthly spot. You cling to it and watch, afraid to take a step, afraid to leave that post. To take a step and walk with a sure stride down the center of the hall, to cross it, simply to let go and trust yourself. Even as you approach the spiritual, you take with you a piece of the material world—this attachment, it pulls you down; it keeps you sitting and watching by the wall. Instead of walking the center of the hall with complete confidence and trust in yourself, with full trust in the Divine Spirit that guides you. Release that place, take a step, just step into the center of the hall, turn and walk forward without looking back.
As you walk forward with confidence, all the others sitting in those places will rise and follow you. Much depends on your decisiveness, much depends on your feeling, on your openness to your inner Divine light, on your trust in yourself and in the Spirit that leads you.
So be it.
