Lesson from the Spirit

Do not jump into the water unwilling to get wet.
Consider your deeds not from on high, but from the standpoint of a kind and devoted observer. Devoted to the unshakable principles and foundations of your spirituality.
And where you once lost your confidence, there you will find strength, because you will not fear being soaked, and therefore will not fear to jump into the water.
Where you doubt and reproach yourself, blaming yourself for something, there you will not even make the leap. You will keep standing in place, or you will turn away entirely.
Courage is looking another in the face, whether that other is a person or your thoughtless action, words—looking at them so that you understand the meaning of that deed, its true meaning.
And you do not regret, but with repentance you accept the choice you once made as an important, necessary lesson.
You are not afraid to jump, to enter those waters. You are not afraid because you do not fear getting wet. Water—what of it? It will dry. Everything will weather and dry. Everything will settle. But you will be different for it, renewed, bright, shining.
Do not be afraid of your deeds; jump boldly, remembering, drawing forth the true lesson with your heart. And when you come out, you will not feel cold, wet clothing on you, but only the warm, true light of repentance and acceptance within. You will feel your renewed resource. You will recognize in this your uniqueness and the Divinity bestowed upon you. So be it.
