A Lesson from the Spirit

"You should not forget your true gifts."
"What is that?"
"You are used to calling any stone a diamond. But no matter what you call it, it will not become a diamond. It is important to understand that all your virtues are the precious belt threaded with your gifts. Look at your belt. What is it like? How many gifts are on it? One, two, three, four, five…?
They are different beads. Different colors and shapes. And together they make a great creation."
"What are these gifts?"
"Kindness, responsiveness, mercy, yieldingness, understanding, humility, grace…
All this is an essential part of your belt.
But if you begin to think about something else, something base, unworthy of your attention, those stones will grow dull, more and more turning into ordinary, unremarkable pebbles.
It depends on you what they will be for you. Simple or precious?
Therefore, when you do not accept yourself, those gifts you have cultivated, you do not merely turn those important virtues into ordinary cobblestones. No.
You burden yourself with those stones."
"How is that possible? How can they harm us?"
"For what should virtues serve? For whose sake are they nurtured within you?
For love — pure, unconditional, the true love of the Creator.
But if you use your gifts to harm all that exists, then it is precisely they who become the stones that, like a heavy load, drag you down to the very bottom.
So, when you consciously pursue your spiritual development, when you work on your spirituality and begin your path, use them for good.
What is preciousness? It means dear, valuable, something you do not want to lose, correct?
Therefore virtues are a preciousness; they are what you must protect, what you must care for.
Because these treasures care for your soul, for its unfolding, for its growth and ascent.
But where you go into nonacceptance and irritation, you only turn your virtues, those beauties pleasing to the eye, into ordinary heavy stones that pull you to the very bottom.
Therefore, pay attention to what you say, what you think, where you are heading, so that this path becomes easier, more accessible to you, to your understanding, for your spiritual growth."
