A Lesson from the Spirit
They show a vast labyrinth through which a person wanders.
“You keep wandering in the labyrinths of your own soul.
It’s terrifying not to get lost, terrifying to lose. When you’re looking for the way out, what do you do?”
“I don’t know. We walk.”
“You study, you memorize the path you take so you won’t walk it twice.
But in life, what happens to you?
You don’t remember, you don’t study your own paths simply because you don’t try to find the exit.
The search for a key, the very idea of finding an exit, is already the beginning of the right path.
When you walk and stumble over a step, you remember it. With your attention you touch that moment, becoming aware and keeping it in memory.
If you begin to look at your life as a kind of labyrinth in which you are certainly searching for an exit, studying and memorizing all its passages, all the lessons given to you, cultivating your consciousness on that, you won’t notice how your path shortens into one straight line.
They show a smooth, bright road.
There, by your intention you construct the path you need, and on that path any side branches fade away as unnecessary.
The intention, the desire to see the exit from your own labyrinth, is already to obtain the key to that exit.
