Lesson from the Spirit

- Turning pages does not mean knowing their contents.
- What does that mean?
- You turn the pages understanding that the book is an instrument. That this book is a tool for knowing yourself. But where you hurry, you do not read, you do not delve in, you do not understand. You flip through the pages, trying to run ahead, trying to linger at the beginning; it's as if you look through them.
When you are given a tool, what does that mean?
It means knowing how to wield it, knowing how to handle it. The tool itself is of little importance; far more important is the desire to go toward something, the striving to know something. Do not flip through the pages, but stay with yourself. Accept all parts of yourself with understanding and the desire to study this book.
