"What does that mean?"
"To guard does not mean to restrain. To guard means to manage wisely. Where you have doubts about something, are dissatisfied with the results of your actions or those of others, are unhappy with what you have—manifest silence through the awareness of the need to accept. Silence is not only words; it is thoughts, actions, and even your glances.
Exercise wisdom so that the words you speak, expressed through action and nurtured in your looks, do not reflect back onto that part of you where you no longer feel harmony and balance fully.
"What about emotions?"
"Emotions are not bad; they are the expression of your feelings. It is harmful when that state prevents you from living in wholeness, from perceiving the world harmoniously.
By managing silence wisely, you restore your inner balance, harmonizing and equalizing your state toward the true divine perception of all that exists."
