A Lesson from the Spirit
- You leave your shoes at the threshold. Do you know what that means?
- Out of respect, when you need to take off your shoes entering a room.
- It's only a tribute of respect to yourself. Not to people, not to the space. When you respect yourself, then you understand your own significance, you understand who you are. You cannot enter a room wearing your shoes.
- Why?
- Because it's about respecting your own rules, your conduct, respecting your thoughts, everything your soul touches. And it is the soul that touches creation. And what you create, what you are filled with, where you go and why — all depend on that respect.
What are those shoes? In the sense of your soul, they are leaving behind all problems, arguments, disagreements, negative judgments, pretense, unfaithfulness. Leave all that there, in the wings of your life, and step into the space filled with the life-energy of the cosmos with an open heart and a burning light in your soul.
If you follow this rule, then wherever you place your foot you will carry light and receive light. And where you do not, you will see an ordinary room, you will see only the banality of a dreary life.
I was shown a huge, bottomless, iron barrel. There is black, murky water in it.
- Do not worry about your fears. For they come to those who wait for them.
Now they show me a clear stream with transparent water. The water is ankle-deep; I can see all the sharp stones on the riverbed. And I can step confidently, not afraid of being cut. I cross this river with a sense of lightness.
- To look into the depths of your fears is to see them on the surface, on the surface of your soul. When you see your fear, understand what it is, you lift it from the depths of your soul, bring it into the light, and illuminate it with light. And where there is light, there is no place for darkness, no place for fear. And your fear is only the lesson already passed, reflected on the plain of your soul.
A Lesson from the Spirit - You leave your shoes at the threshold.
