A Lesson from the Spirit

They show camels in the desert; they walk for a long time across the sand and, when they stop, they eat cacti.
“They do not search. They regard this as the good that has been given them.”
“What do you mean?”
“They do not search because they consider this food their only salvation in the boundless desert.
But if their gaze rises higher, beyond the horizon, they will see paradisal gardens.
You often see the same. You simply do not want to notice who you are and where you are.”

They show this desert as a map, where it is a small island surrounded by beautiful gardens.
“You are merely those who wish to taste bland food instead of knowing that that food is only for a bland life. A life in which you do not perceive the joy of its taste.
You may deny it. But answer yourself honestly: where are you when, living day after day, you do not see the hope of your own blossoming? Your blossoming comes only with the blossoming of your soul, when your soul opens and is known by you as something wondrous, unique; when tasting its essence you reveal the flavor of true life. That life which is joy, pleasure, peace, the goodness given to you by the Creator of true divine grace.
“What is this about?”
“About vision.”
“Vision of what?”
“Vision of the genuine world, the true world, through the eyes of your soul.
You are so used to seeing what surrounds you and taking it as the only right and true world, for you do not know that you are more.
You taste the fruits of your longings, your hopes, forgetting the fruits of truth, the fruits of reality. These fruits, like you, grow, form, ripen—not somewhere beyond the horizon, that is an error. If you look at everything with the eyes of your soul, you will understand that the world is one, without divisions.”

Now they show how those gardens connect with the desert, how they mingle. Now around the cacti there are beautiful flowers.
“What you taste depends on your vision, what longings you nourish within yourself, what hope you lose and what you truly gain. All is you and the world is one.

Taste the fruits of your spirituality, the transformation within you, which in a bright light answers with the voice of faith and truth, across all spaces, around you and within you yourself.”
