A Lesson from the Spirit
“You do not see sorrow in your wisdom.”
“What does that mean?”
“What gnaws at you? I ask because I know sorrows gnaw at you.
Why do you look outward when you cannot see yourself?
Only a fool calls himself wise. For wisdom is knowledge—a continuous process, a comprehension of endless lessons.
Lessons are kept by wisdom.
The question is: what is within you? What do you count as your wisdom?
Wisdom lies in the bliss of knowing those truths that have been given to you. He is mistaken who truly believes in his own exceptional wisdom.
Wisdom does not crumble with years; it is unshakable and beyond any persecution.
When you teach someone, you teach yourself. For the teacher grows with the student.
“What is all this about?”
“About the knowledge you keep.
You break your contract with conscience when you consider yourself wiser than others, and you realize the worthlessness of your knowledge.
What good is learning if you do not apply that knowledge, if you do not give it life by correcting and straightening not only your own path but the path of your neighbor?
When you boast about past lessons, knowledge, and skills, praising yourself, you, proud, place yourself beneath the one who came to you for counsel.
Understanding your significance is not about pride.
Understanding your significance is about your insight, about knowing who you are, about accepting it.
You are those who go into your own knowing, learning, helping yourselves and those around you with that knowledge. By accepting this, by following it, you will understand the importance of that light which is inside each of you. So be it!
