A Lesson from the Spirit

They show a locomotive, the fireman tossing coal into the firebox. Cars are coupled, and the train moves forward. The first stop — on the right, a tall church of red brick.
“What is this about?”
“The soul’s ordeal.”
Each temple along the route will reveal new facets to you. This temple is the starting point. As you move through these places you will come to know more and more. These temples are placed on the map of your life so that you can recognize yourself in each one.
These temples are the periods of your life, periods in which your soul matures. In each of them you lost and gained something.

These are temples of your soul; they are rebuilt, change their appearance, change their structure, but their meaning remains the same.
“What is their meaning?”
“To serve you.”
This is the place you come to repent and receive help. It is the place that heals you with its wisdom and the true radiance of the Creator’s divine energy.
You follow a route where it seems to you these are many different points on a map, but that is not so.
It is all about the train, about your movement; from that comes a distorted picture of reality. The reality is that these are not different temples — they are all you, in a single moment here and now. You simply enter that temple in different states, and so it seems to you that the temples change, that the points are rearranged, but those are new versions of you.
Your thinking, your vision, are transformed, and so your perception of the outer world changes, and your view of yourself in that world, where you compare yourself to your former self, noticing changes in yourself, you conclude that these are different points on the map.
But the temple of your soul is one; your perception of this place depends only on your inner fullness — what you fill the temple of your soul with determines how the world is reflected in your eyes, how you are reflected in the eyes of the world — all of this is built into the walls of your temple, all of it is suffused with your spirit.

From this comes the soul’s ordeal. Each time you turn to yourself at different moments of your life, when you were filled differently, in those moments you perceived the temple of your soul as something new to you, not as the true home that it is.
The temple of the soul is your home, where you receive shelter, where you receive knowledge, support, inspiration.
It is the home where you invite your friends. All of this — you yourself and the people you call to you — affects your perception of your own soul’s temple.
Therefore you may feel anxious, irritated, lost.
You lose yourself because you cannot come home; because of your vision, because of what you are filled with, each time you treat the temple of your soul not as a home but as something new and unfamiliar.
And playing the role of a guest in your own house robs you of the chance to rest, to sink into serenity and peace, to receive protection and love, the love and care that the parental home gives us.
When you understand that these are not different points on a map, when you understand that these are not different versions of you, but all are one, and you are one in different moments of your manifestation, then all those temples marked as points along the path of your soul’s map will merge into a single point — the one true point of your soul’s temple. The temple built by your intention, with your permission, and in trust of your spirit.
Then you will understand that the windows of your temple shine with a bright warm light, greeting you and filling you with the genuine blessed warmth of the Creator’s unconditional love. So be it.
