A Lesson from the Spirit

"Please, Spirit, tell me about war. What does God feel when people fight each other, kill?"

"War is not a search for answers.
War is the destruction of the peaceful foundations from which life arose. Those who desire war only wish to see their own fall. And this is not simply about the fall of an individual, although that too; it is about the fall of those immutable pillars on which the world rests.
A search for balance. When you do not know what you want and how much, that only speaks to a lack of balance. Where there is balance, there are no drives for hegemony, for rule, for domination. There is only a complete merging with oneself and the world around, no claims, no striving to prove anything, only silence.
Many misread their own call, the summons to balance, attempting to find something to soothe their soul by conquering territories, cities, enslaving people. But conquer the whole world and your soul will not be calmer.
"What are human wars to God?"
"Sorrow and pain, but they are not without purpose. Many wars are admonitions to others, many are lessons not yet learned.
But where the hearts of some stop, the souls of others grow hard.
If someone has killed forty souls, his own soul will know no rest. One soul is a cycle. As many souls destroyed, so many cycles.
War is neither ordinary nor necessary. It is only the cry of an unrealized soul. The desire to wage war is akin to the desire to be glorified on the battlefield.
To God, all souls are equal and one."
