A Lesson from the Spirit
Have you ever noticed how often the clock falls silent before sleep? Time slows, as if stretching, giving you a chance to sink into calm.
But time is constant, isn't it?
Your perception of that time depends on you, and only you. You can speed it up, or you can slow it down.
The more often you, upon noticing something, slow the course of events as if stopping time, the more youth—belonging both to your body and your mind—is reborn.
By pausing, by focusing on something in the here and now, you thereby prolong your youth.
You allow yourself to float in weightlessness, in a feeling of serenity and peace, of true pleasure at the outer scene.
But youth is not only a physical thing; it is also freshness of thought, the search for ideas, inspiration. It is that motivation that fosters your growth, both of soul and body.
When you look at something, sink as fully as possible into a state of serenity and calm, of contemplation of the depth and brightness of the image, without any conclusions, advice, disagreements, without a supervising gaze, but with your soul catching every splendor of what you see.
In that moment you seem to slow all physical processes, revealing your true feelings and motives, transforming from within, and filling yourself with the incredibly gentle energies of the universe.
