Lesson from the Spirit

"What else did you want to say, my Spirit?"
"Do good; it is everywhere, even in a spoonful of tar. Where you see bitterness, for others it may be salvation."
"What are you talking about?"
"About life. Everything is arranged harmoniously; by your interventions, by your surveillance, you only disturb a fragile balance. What you see as bitterness sometimes contains mercy and insight, a medicine, if you will.
Learn to see and notice things as they were created by the Creator.
Remove the unnecessary veil of judgments and despairs, and turn to God sincerely, wishing to receive an answer, being ready to hear it from the lips of the righteous, those whose sound created the world.
Accept life in all the colors of its creation. In every glimmer, in every beauty there lies life, something unfathomable and at the same time beautiful, as much a creation as you yourself are.
Only you do not see it.
So allow yourself to un-see more. And by that greater seeing you will become greater for this world, and for yourself.
Greater. This is not about greed of intent; it is about opening, about the desire to comprehend the greatness of that chaos you call order, and that order which appears as chaos to your eyes.
Neutrality, observance, contemplation, admiration—in every curve, in every color and sound of the wave, find something that enlivens your soul and mind, that makes you see and feel as you can, not as you expect of yourself.
The greater meaning of coming to know your Soul is not greed and not Ego; it is a path of service for the sake of gaining faith, for the sake of comprehending the grandeur of the Divine design of the Creator.
And you will suddenly understand how painfully familiar all this is to you, how all this in its simplicity unfolds through former habits, views, hopes, that someday you will remember that simplicity within yourself as the key to union with the Divine energy of the Creator."
