Lesson from the Spirit

I see volcanic, black rocks. To my right a column, then an abyss. I think it’s an abyss because there is thick fog there, you can’t see anything. Opposite, in the distance, more rocks and columns.
“Why don’t you step?”
“You could fall.”
“Then try.”

I take a step, and a stone appears out of nowhere to support me. I stand on it, but I can’t see clearly because of the fog beneath my feet.
“It’s hard to step without seeing your path.”
“Yes, that’s true.”
“But your path is there, under your feet.”
The fog is only your uncertainty and fears, your doubts, nothing else; it’s that which does not exist. It is your illusion.
Remove the illusion, and the fog will disperse, and the road will reveal itself to your sight.
When you stand like that, saddened by something, anxious, that fog thickens over your road; you do not see it because you do not know where you must go.
To find yourself is to seek, and to walk your path is to make the first step.
If you do not see this clearly and distinctly, you will not see your path. You may go left, right… But where will that road lead you?
“How can I tell which road is mine?”
“When you stand clearly, when you stand on the road prepared for you, what do you feel? Encouragement, inspiration, joy, or a sense of anticipation for something important and necessary to you. It comes as an illumination, as a bright, brief emotion, an exclamation, a wonder.
When you feel apathy, anxiety, unwillingness to do anything, feel your indifference to everything, disbelief, you do not go forward, you merely step back.
“What should I do?”
“Dispel that fog, as a delusion, as something that does not exist. As the illusion you yourself created with your thoughts, your hands, your own intention. Blow that fog away.
As the fog disperses, new steps of the road you need will open to your sight; stepping on those steps you will clearly and distinctly see that glow which with each of your steps burns brighter and brighter, like a beacon, a signal that your path is visible, that it is noticed by you, so that you may walk it, so that you, casting aside disputes, doubts and fears, continue toward that light which is yourself. So be it. 🙏
