Advice to the Group from the Spirit

“Don’t put off until tomorrow what you decide today.”
“How should we understand that?”
“Sometimes you postpone, promise to do something, and keep putting it off. Don’t promise, don’t speak. It’s better to remain silent in that case than to make a promise.
Your promises accumulate; there are more and more of them.
You give a promise now about something you will do someday. In doing so you rob yourself of the moment here and now; you don’t live it. You are neither present now nor in the future.
Because anxieties about whether tasks can be completed visit you: whether you’ll have time, whether you’re capable, whether it’s possible to do this…
You may be tormented by waking nightmares about what you didn’t manage to do. As if expectations were betrayed, as if you failed to accomplish something.
As if you missed the moment, the opportunity, the inspiration. As if something slipped out of sight.
All of this stems from those promises in which you do not find your true self where you are, and therefore do not see yourself as you are. It’s all connected. And you must grasp all this if you intend to grasp yourself.”
