Lesson from the Spirit

"The Spirit is in each of you, and where it is not, you simply have not searched.
What do you feel when you converse with me: joy, anxiety, sorrow, inspiration…? It varies, doesn't it?
Of course, pleasant words are dearer than rude ones. But sometimes, even in harshness a grain of truth is hidden.
"Why is that?"
"You have not known sorrows only because you have found peace in your heart. You opened it.
Look at this lush glade; there, in that grass, a whole life is hidden that you do not see.
Because you are not used to looking down. You often reach upward, above yourselves. There you seek answers.
But it may be that not a single bird will pass over your head all day. Yet if you look down, at your own feet standing on this grass, you will be surprised how much life is there—scurrying bugs and caterpillars, and many other things.
"What is this about?"
"There are many of them, but all so small that your gaze does not encompass them, does not acknowledge them. If you only delve into the knowledge of this world, a whole encyclopedia of life will open to you. Not somewhere up there, but right at your feet.
To be able to see the small life is a great deed.
"What is this about?"
"You do not value, often do not value, the little that you have. Because you do not want to look at your own feet."
