A Lesson from the Spirit

Huge white columns like the entrance to a building without walls. I step in and cannot see where these columns end. Around me is nothing; I walk barefoot on a black, cold floor that reflects nothing. There are no plants, no animals, no people. I hear the echo of each of my steps. Enormous arched doors appear before me, but I cannot see where they end. The doors open and everything is flooded with an astonishing bright light made of golden particles, many, many golden particles. Light.

“You are a child of the Light. Have you ever thought about that?”
“I thought about the soul, but not the light.”
“Light particles are channels in which the soul is born.
Each of you carries particles of the mother light. This is light manifest through matter, through your bodies. How you prepare yourselves, how much you are subject to your own judgments, conclusions, your own thoughts—this determines your conductivity to that light.”

They show how this light, as a luminous core, is inside us. And it scatters into many rays and connects with each chakra. Violet, blue, yellow… Different colors like a rainbow.
“Where you learn to unite all the colored rays within yourself into a single beam of light, there your union with the spiritual world occurs. With a world where your reason is powerless to act.
This is a connection to home, to the mother light, the very one from which your light was born.
By practicing, by developing your spirituality to the point of being able to see and hear the Creator, you thereby return to the One Light, you return home.
These are the necessary conditions for your spiritual growth.
It does not happen at your whim, but only through conscious perception of the world, through seeking harmony within yourself, through feeling and perceiving yourself as an inseparable part of all that surrounds you.”

When you see light in another, your own light ignites. Learn to notice this in every look directed at you. Learn to see deeper, to discern more meaningfully, to feel more broadly. And where you see light in your neighbor’s eyes, there is the reflection of your own shining.
