A Lesson from the Spirit
They show a mouse hole along the wall, then another, and another. Then they led me into that hole, and there were many passages; they’re all connected and go further inward.
“See what lies beyond the line.”
They showed that this hall has always been with us and that these holes were perceived as part of the hall, so no one investigated them, thinking them only part of the décor.
“What do these holes mean?”
“They are your depth, the depth of your vision, of your consciousness. It’s like remembering a particular picture. You know it once was, you know it is, and that’s enough. But if you go deeper, if you want to examine what is hidden behind that picture, behind that memory — why it has appeared in your mind now — you will begin to see more than that single image of your memory.
You will see depth. And what is depth in your memories, in your visions? It is illumination, those hints that come to you through memories, through noticing certain processes around you, through seeing events, through hearing conversations. If you learn to see signs in what you once considered coincidence, you will learn to see into the depth of those events; you will learn to look beyond the border of your perception of the world, by knowing its depth.
By understanding how the space around you works, by understanding how your inner system of perceiving the world works, you will learn to notice and discern those signs that outline themselves in your field as an invisible pattern of Divine instructions.
And all those events, all those images, sounds, smells, will become for you not merely words, but the meaning that will fill you with confidence and the awareness of who you are, and what you must do next to achieve your goal — the knowing of yourself.
