A Lesson from the Spirit

“He who asks for help must himself know what it is.”
“What are you talking about?”
“When you ask for help, you must be the one to help. By helping someone you help yourself; you cultivate spirituality within.”

They show fishermen hauling a net, but it’s empty, and they cast their nets again into the water.
“What are they doing?”
“Trying to warn each other of danger.”
“You mean about the fish?”
“Yes.”

Now they show many fish in the nets. One little fish sees a gap and slips out; it stays in place while the others remain trapped in the nets.
“Did she do well?”
“No, she abandoned, betrayed her family.”
“This isn’t about betrayal, nor about who abandoned whom.”
“What is it about?”
“Inspiration.”
She is alone, therefore confused, not knowing where to swim.
It is important to point out the path when you see it yourself. When you try to do everything alone, for yourself, you will not find joy in it.
Your parents, acquaintances, friends are part of your becoming. They are the ones who correct you, guide you, help you move.
If you retreat into saving only yourself, very soon you will realize you have frozen in your development, as if waiting for something, someone’s help to start your inner processes. You are all connected into one; you all need each other.
If a certain pause occurs in your life, as if you are standing in one place, think about how many people you have crossed out of your life without thanking or accepting them. If you notice this pause within yourself, find it, then ask why there is no further development, why after a certain leap everything stopped?
What place in your life do all those who were involved in your fate occupy?
To restart all internal processes and move on, you must accept and give thanks. When you thank someone, accepting all their actions, all that has been, you open a path for them, you illuminate it. The more such paths you open for others, the sooner your own path will be built — clean, bright, and clear; the more vividly it will reveal itself to you.

They show other fish beginning to swim out of those nets, trailing filament-like light; they swim in different directions and toward one another, their trajectories crossing. For the little fish that had been lost in the vast ocean, suddenly a perfectly straight, long road of extraordinary golden light forms. She swims forward, confidently, joyfully.

“Remember, when you forgive someone, help, accept, and give thanks, you open a path for them, thereby opening a path for yourself.”
