Lessons from the Spirit

They moved me to the abode of the Spirits. I stood beside the source of creation. And on the snow-white floors next to me Babaji sat in meditation. I asked to be shown what lay further down the road, but they said, not now.

"What is Earth to you?"
"Earth is a planet, a home."
They showed me the Earth from the height of a cliff. And the life that seethed far below.
"No. Earth is you, it is me, it is all of you. Earth is the place of your temporary dislocation. It is what you call home. So why do you seek a home?
"I don't understand."
"Home is the place that gives warmth, comfort, love. Why do you feel out of harmony with yourself? Because Earth is not your home, it is not the home of your soul. Earth is an echo of your past. Your soul is in disharmony because you believed in a false home. You come to that home without understanding why it is unwelcoming, why it does not grant you that blessed energy you expect when you enter it.
Many begin to seek their true home — that state of the soul where it is warm, cozy, comfortable, where there is room for love. This blessed home is your soul's union, your inner peace and a state of permanent happiness that you feel, that you sense, that you give to others by awakening their consciousness through the touch of your soul.
Do what responds to your soul, what resonates with the good intention of pure love, and you will gain that inner peace, that harmony you are searching for.
Your home is yourself.
