Lesson from the Spirit

I stand on the very edge of a ledge, I put my left foot forward, and the stones beneath my feet begin to crumble, they fall away.

“You must walk the road. The ground crumbles because there is no certainty in your step. When you walk the path of knowing yourself, you often stray from the way that leads you upward.
You pause, you reflect, you doubt, and then, stepping aside, coming to the edge of the road, you feel the earth beneath your feet lose its firmness, its foundation.
But in panic you forget that the road is not to blame for this, only your thoughtless actions are. And then fear takes hold of you, hindering your ascent; you retreat along the familiar route, choosing the habitual, that which is known to you. But going back means renouncing your growth.
You blame, letting fear into yourself. By yielding to fear, you lose touch with reality, with the understanding that your path was right until you decided to leave it.
When, in doubt, you stumble from the righteous path, where having stumbled you lose the ground beneath your feet, you begin to panic and be afraid, and in that fear you forget the truth that your path of ascent is the very way by which you climb.”

They show how a serpentine road winds around the mountain, and the higher it goes, the narrower this road becomes.
“Why?”
“Here your trust is resolved. You must trust your trail. If you stumble and begin to doubt, feeling the ground slip from beneath your feet, realize that it was the right path.
In that fear you begin to think that the road itself is to blame because it crumbles, and you do not understand that it crumbles only where you stepped off it, only where you stumbled, doubting the correctness of your course.
The higher you climb on the path of knowing, the narrower the trail becomes, for only in trust, in faith, and in truth will you overcome this way. Where each of your steps reflects confidence, trust, steadfastness. Where each step emits a light that comes from you, a gracious radiance illuminating your path, full of love, acceptance, and trust in yourself and in the Spirit that leads you.
So be it. 🙏”
