A Lesson from the Spirit

A lesson about healing.
They show a man standing on nails. Another man tries to stand—he is in pain, he cannot manage it.
"Why can't he?"
"Because he doesn't see. He doesn't see what would be good for him, even though he himself cries out to the Creator for help and sensible advice.
When you ask something of the Creator, do not be surprised later by what happens in your life."
"What is that you mean?"
"You are often mistaken, thinking there is a magic pill. When you ask for well-being, the higher powers give you those trials in which you will learn to value the blessings that surround you; this can include their deprivation.
Often, having lost something, you truly begin to recognize its significance.
When you ask for humility, events occur in your life that cultivate that feeling in you. Through pain and suffering, through illness, through the trials given to you from above, so that you may develop a sense of humility.
When you ask for love, you are given trials in which you may not be loved, but where you must show that feeling. To understand what it is to love, to learn it, to learn to love purely, sincerely, unconditionally.
But you often grumble at fate, forgetting your own requests.
You do not wish to learn; you only want to receive what you desire. But it does not work that way.
Where you ask for health, a path to God is opened to you through purification and acceptance, and it depends only on you how you will walk it.
Everything is a lesson. Everything is the training of yourself and of those feelings, those qualities you asked for, through lessons sometimes filled with suffering. When you understand this, it will be easier for you to go on, remembering what you asked for earlier. You will begin to notice why a particular situation in life was given to you; you will begin to realize what exactly you are cultivating in yourself, what exactly you asked for, and then you will pass the lessons more easily and quickly, reaching the goal you were striving for.
You may be driven by desire or by curiosity, but you must remember one thing—nothing happens without your intention; everything that is given to you is a response to the request you sent, but forgot.
