Lesson from the Spirit

They show a traveler walking along a road.
"A lesson about seeing."
When you walk and see a stone ahead, you do not fear it; you understand that you need to get past it. When it rains, you do not fear it; you take something to shelter under and continue on your way without fear.
"What is this about?"
"You see, so it is easier for you to walk. You know what a stone is, what rain is. What happens to you in life sometimes frightens you; you begin to be afraid, to worry, to panic, to become irritated, to fall into despondency, because you do not know how to pass through it.
To climb a cliff you need equipment, to travel a river you need a raft, to walk under a blazing sun you need a hat.
"What are all those things?"
"Those are all tools for overcoming the obstacles that you see and therefore call obstacles. But where you acquire the tools of seeing, you will perceive that these are not obstacles but your lessons.
"And what is the tool?"
"Spirituality. Your spirituality is the tool of seeing, feeling, understanding. It is that which, relying on it, you continue your way without fears and doubts, in complete trust and in gratitude for each day that is given to you. By cultivating spirituality within yourself, you do not merely open the way to God—you restore yourself, your true radiance. It is not simply a help in passing your road; it is the illumination and comprehension of the whole order of the world, through living every cell of yourself in the world that surrounds you.
It is that very instrument for achieving harmony within you, that missing balance and calm; it is the instrument for attaining a blessed state of peace and acceptance, in full gratitude to yourself and to the Spirit that guides you. So be it."

****

"Spirituality is not merely a tool; it is life itself in its best manifestation.

Those of you who walk the path of blind ignorance only deprive yourselves of the possibility to live in the grace that has been given to you."
