A Lesson from the Spirit

They show a large tree, beautiful with powerful roots and trunk. At the top green leaves bask in the sun, while below some leaves are gnarled, as if ill.

"What is humanity for you?"
"The manifestation of a person's spirituality?"
"Correct. Humanity is the ability to see yourself in the eyes of your neighbor. Not everyone is capable of that; not everyone can bear to look into those eyes.
What are you afraid of?
You are afraid to see yourself there: your fears, anxieties, worries, insecurities, your ignorance.
You are reflections of one another, yet when someone plants their feet firmly on the ground, they forget this.
Look at these leaves. They draw nourishment from the same tree, yet they grow separately.
You are also one in your spirituality, but you feel your separateness.

While you warm yourselves at the top in the rays of the sun, taking it for granted, you do not think that somewhere below there are those who need that warmth, that sun, that care.
Understanding this can come too late, when the branches of your common tree begin to wither from the very bottom until they reach you.
This is a lesson about unity.
You are those who are spiritually nourished by a single source.
When you take blessings for yourselves, do you think of your neighbor?
You cannot open up simply because you hurry to get everything and be first. Being first is not so important when the branches of your tree begin to wither.
Support one another, share your strength, your wisdom, and your inner light, transforming everything around you with the benevolent radiance of the Creator’s absolute, unconditional love.
And then your tree will prosper. Receiving strength, direct it, distribute it to others.
And your strength will not diminish, but will grow with the strength of the souls you have transformed, helped, illuminated, warmed.

They show this tree. It gleams with bright golden pollen. Golden pollen issues from every green leaf; it is visible through the bright light cast on the tree.

"You may do nothing, enjoying what you have, but for how long?
A tree cannot live on light alone; it is nourished by its roots.
Your roots are yourselves, it is you and all those who are around you.
When you realize this, when you begin to share your inner light, you will come to the revival of your lineage, to the revival of yourself. So be it."
