Lessons from the Spirit.
I found myself with a spirit on wide swings beneath a large, mighty tree. Then birds flew in.
"Listen to the singing of the birds and to how life seethes in the grass. It's a small form of life, yet a whole world. They exist outside your attention and your will. Until you begin to affect them. The life in these little worlds depends on your decision.
What do you often do? You must understand your responsibility to yourself, to your inner worlds."
"What are these worlds?"
"They are your baggage. Baggage accumulated over a long period. Treat yourself, your inner worlds, with care.
These are the parts of you that you yourself created. You build worlds by communicating, by interacting with others. These worlds are your relationships with the people around you. And in each interaction you show yourself differently. Sometimes you show humility, sometimes love, sometimes hatred, sometimes friendship, sometimes envy — and these are all your inner worlds, this is your baggage.
"What does it mean to treat them with care?"
"Do not deny yourself. Everything is a lesson you must learn, something you must discern in different situations.
You must treat them gently because they are manifestations of yourself. You must examine each situation, see yourself in each situation, and accept the knowledge you have gained. Every nonacceptance, every conflict, every misunderstanding — that is you. But it is within your power to crush that world or to observe what happens, helping yourself to understand the message embedded in each one."
