A Lesson from the Spirit

A sunny day, the sea, the beach. The Spirit walks ahead of me, stepping barefoot on the wet sand and the waves roll in, erasing the footprints.
“What is this about?”
“About Trust.
You step without trusting your own footprint. You fuss and worry about things that do not depend on you.
The harmfulness of judgments about each of your actions drags you along, like these waves, in surges, again and again.
Do not be afraid to leave footprints, do not be afraid to walk.
If you walk into your own knowing, your footprint will not be so important to you.

Each time you look back at the wave of judgments, at what has been, you look backward, paying attention to judgment in search of your traces. Allow this to be for your growth.
“Why are there no footprints behind me? They are erased by the waves. Why is that?”
“These waves are judgments. Evaluative judgments given to you, to your actions. They erase your path. But if you look back with worry, with fear that your footprints are gone, you will slow your way forward.
It does not matter whether your footprints remain or not; the one who follows you will see the path. Let this be, do not look back at the past with apprehension, do not lend your own judgment to others’ judgments, simply walk forward. Trusting your Spirit you will not stray from the path, you will go only forward, aware and understanding the full depth of this path, the impartiality of this path toward you, for this path is the way of your true development. Where you are an inseparable divine particle of the one whole — the Divine soul. So be it.

These waves exist in the past, the present, and the future — as an integral part of your path of knowing yourself as a single spirit. Waves of judgment will be on this path, but this is not bad; they do not hinder your movement if you have decided to go forward. But where you doubt, where you show uncertainty, show indecision, there your path slows; there the fear of not finding the way back forces you to turn off the true path — the path of knowing your soul.
Just walk, allowing yourself, allowing your Spirit, to lead you on this path without fears and doubts, without hesitation and regret, without the sorrow of judgments — go into your knowing with a pure, open intention to be heard, to be seen, to be one with the Creator. So be it.
