A Lesson from the Spirit
"Why are we on a suspension bridge?"
I walk; it sways me from side to side, each step hard-earned.
"It's hard to walk when you don't feel a stable footing under your feet?"
"Yes."
"This is a lesson about gratitude."
"What gratitude?"
"Gratitude for the unfolding of your talents, for the opening of your feelings, for your spiritual growth. You must be grateful to yourself as well. Do not forget. Gratitude nurtures confidence in you; confidence gives you stability — everything is connected.
If you walk with gratitude, each step of yours will be aligned, it will be steady, you will not be afraid to take a step, you will not cling to thin threads as if they save you or hold you on this path — only you will. On this road there are you, your faith in yourself and in the One God. That faith builds a new bridge beneath you — a reliable, stable, strong bridge of confidence, of dependability, of trust.
A brick bridge is being built and I walk across the sky.
You walk on it without fears and doubts, you walk on it and no longer look back, you do not look down, you do not hope to return and you do not peeringly fear what lies ahead — where the bridge comes. Try to cultivate gratitude in yourself toward yourself, gratitude toward other people, gratitude toward the guiding Spirit, gratitude toward the Creator Himself. And you will see how much strength will rise in you from the very depths of the earth, like a reliable, stable support.
Feel how much strength and confidence you have gained, how easy it is for you to walk without looking back, without fear, without dread. You can walk on the new bridge and finally see the goal.
You can stop, look around, learn, discover, study. You are no longer afraid; you simply go forward without fears and doubts, in full trust of yourself and of the Spirit guiding you. So be it.
Where is your power? In an open, honest heart, full of kindness and gratitude.
Leave behind the paradigm of the third dimension. This bridge is like the illusory past that drags you down, while new strong bridges have long been being built. You are the builder of your road, you yourselves construct bridges, paths of knowing. You give them a base, you give them a foundation — strong and reliable.
If you remain in the programs of the third dimension, you will continue to stand on the rickety bridge in fears and doubts.
That bridge is where you were upset, there — where you did not understand, there — where you were not understood, there — where you did not love or accept yourself, there — where you saw that lack of acceptance in the eyes of others, there — where you felt like nobody yet wanted to be everything, there — where you waited but were late, there — where you doubted, did not believe, there — where you saw but were deluded — all of this is that bridge: old, dilapidated, swinging in the wind. The bridge of your instability, the bridge of your destruction.
Learn to be grateful in each of those situations, learn to be grateful for every opportunity, be grateful for every lesson, every glance, word, deed that was for your good, even where you did not notice it, even where you did not accept it, did not want it, and therefore did not understand the importance of the moment of gratitude here and now for each of you, in each of the points you created on your life path.
These points are placed like markers on a map, where you must accept them, give thanks, and let go.
So be it.
