A Lesson from the Spirit

Have you heard rivers rage in the middle of a season?
Nature has seasons of rain, wind, heat… a periodicity with which it speaks to space, possessing the ability to speak like that, to express itself,
to draw attention. You, however, chatter endlessly, and because of that have forgotten how much truth is kept in simple silence.
In those unanswered questions—if you only plunge them into silence—the answers will appear and then dissolve as unnecessary.
Because there, in the silence, you will learn one single word, kept in eternity, the word of your soul.

Help others know themselves better by remembering silence. Help the world be better known by plunging into its silence. Help others find themselves in this world by immersing them in the silence of listening, the beating of the heart and the water that gives life.

Listen, do not object; let another’s speech run riot if it will, but do not scold it—look instead from the depth of your inner silence, and from there lay that story into serenity, so that on the out-breath you carry away all bitterness and sorrow.

Silence in answer to cries, and quiet in answer to demands made of you.
And you will see how everything dissolves easily, as soon as you touch your heart with a smile.
