Advice to the Group
- Let go.
Let go in your desires. Find peace.
- What does that mean? Explain.
- To let go means to feel freedom. Where you need it most, there is no control but your own.
And you lose over and over where you should not be asking, where you are not obliged to submit, where, as you think, it is easiest to be—alone with yourself.
But you so often deceive yourselves, inventing various tasks. You selflessly give your life into someone else’s hands in order to obey, to perform, to please, to adapt in a submissive bow.
There you do not thank with your soul for the revelations you dreamed of; instead, having forgotten yourself, you speak words of gratitude from the position of the subordinate, from the position of the debtor.
Where you feel duty toward someone,
it is not your soul that demands or rejoices, but you personally who signs a contract for indefinite, gratuitous use of your will.
And what is your will? It is freedom.
Freedom to be yourself, to be alone with yourself, to know yourself as you were once entrusted to know.
When you stood at the source of beginnings, when you absorbed knowledge with the gratitude of your heart and the exultation of an open soul—not because you owed anyone, but because you were gaining freedom wholly, together, all at once.
There is no subordinate where there is unity.
The liberation of your soul is the key to the freedom you dream of, the freedom that calls from within you with constant searching, whispering ways out of various situations.
Help yourselves by taking inspiration from the beauty around you.
We seek freedom without understanding that it is inside us. When we are free within, no external influence can hinder us. Everything begins to peel away like spent husks. But when we ourselves impose contracts upon ourselves, the whole space seems to contract around us in such an unbearable way that we might be forced to see the truth. Yet instead of that realization, we often begin to blame the whole world for the pressure in which we have placed ourselves voluntarily. But, just as voluntarily, we can attain true freedom—only by recognizing and accepting.
