A Lesson from the Spirit

“You have languished so long, you have gone so far—to enlighten whom?”
“You have access to much, yet you reject that greater, that one necessary thing.”
“Explain.”
“When you step onto another’s ground, do you regard it as yours?
And is it so important to divide things from a position of power, from the place of being the main one?
Your callousness of heart and mind is only the result, the echo, of past misunderstandings.
Distrust of someone, the fear of trusting someone, comes only from the time you once divided what cannot be divided.
You are like the drowning person who tries to clutch at a straw. You cling to yourself, hoping to find firm footing, a solid foundation.
But you are not merely a piece of foundation, not just a fragment of a whole—you are that whole, indivisible.
The separation between you is only separation within yourselves.
Where there is peace and calm, where grace and joy, humility and faith are one and unbreakable within you, there you are a single, unbreakable whole. Where there is no reason to defend, to protect, to distrust, to fear.

You gain freedom from all this not by conquest or by defending your interests, but by your own enlightenment, by understanding who you truly are, for yourself as well.
And where just now you clutched at a straw, drowning in your own whirl of confusion and fear, there you gain a whole world in an instant, through the realization you have reached.
You do not change the world around you; you change it within, through the recognition that you are not merely a fragment of a larger picture, but the author of that picture. Everything on it, everything depicted on it, is within you. And all the talents captured there reflect your inner world.

And you need not assemble the puzzle piece by piece. You gain that wholeness within yourself.
