Advice from the Spirit
Don’t stay stuck in one place. Grow.
Growth is life itself; it is exploring new facets of yourself, discovering new locations. Growth inevitably leads to expansion. It’s not only about the knowledge and skills you acquire—though those matter too. It’s about you, about your interest, your fire. Your curiosity, your excitement, your desire to become absorbed in something, to learn something—this is not mere idle curiosity; it is the key to achieving great possibilities and heights.
You don’t have to change direction to seek growth. What matters is keeping your interest alive, allowing yourself to be carried away with pleasure, with zeal, with a spark inside, with inspiration. It is through this that you arrive at a new point of growth.
And balance yourself where you feel apathy, where you don’t want to do anything, participate in anything, or belong to anything. There look for inspiration in something else. But do not fall into dejection and fixation on a certain feeling of resignation, into a complete unwillingness to act and move toward your growth.
Even if you can’t see a way out of something, find what will bring you joy, fill you with happiness and positive emotions. Find that which sets your heart alight with the warm, serene flame of joy. Try and discover what will bring you into a state of balance. Into the state in which you can comprehend the full depth of your being.
Where there is apathy and unwillingness to act—where life is like a scratched record and the everyday grinds calluses on your feet so you walk in pain and reluctance—you receive not only apathy but various troubles: irritation, aggression, nervous breakdowns, illnesses, and the like.
Only because you have not found the point of balance. Even where you see no way out, seek what inspires you. And in that inspiration you will find the answer and the salvation.
