A Lesson from the Spirit

In every moment there is only an instant to realize something.
That instant depends on your senses and convictions. If you do not understand something now, in this very instant of a moment, it’s all right; there will be others. But if you do not grasp the importance of the existence of this instant for you, as the awareness of a single moment, you risk never knowing the truth.
In other words, if you comprehend, if you are aware of the cyclic nature of your life, feel its seasons and moods, sensing a thrilling tremor within yourself, then your chances of understanding the order of the world are much higher than if you considered everything a single instant, without any periods, without any repeats of certain lessons.
Acceptance of lessons begins at their source — with understanding that they are cyclical.
Imagine that there is a kind of scale in your life, with marks inscribed on it.
At each point where you made a mistake, refusing to understand and accept the lesson, a kind of curve is formed that stretches through certain divisions to the next point.
At that point the same lesson is presented to you, but in a different way.
If at that point you recognize the cyclicity, the repetition, as if something is being conveyed to you twice, then from that point a new branch begins to form, a new scale, new divisions.
You often say that you go in circles, that the same things happen to you in life, but you are merely moving along your own scale.
There cannot be an identical repetition, because at that new point you are already different: you have different views, different tastes, preferences, and priorities. And you think differently, and your decisions resonate not as they did before. But therein lies the charm of the lesson, its difficulty and inexplicability.
It seems to you that you have changed a lot within yourself, that you have altered many things inside, but that is what your ego says. The soul is as before; it waits and hopes that you will pass this stage without pain, with an understanding of the essence of what is happening, for the sake of your own growth.
It seems to you that the repetitions become harder, the tasks more impossible, but that is only your mind. Because you are already different, you look differently, you have different requests, and new means of influence are needed so that you may one day see clearly.
The difficulty of the process of accepting lessons lies only in your pride and in your perception of everything that happens. Where you accept something as given, where you walk in humility, trusting the Spirit, there is no place for pride.
There you do not compare, you accept.
And until you release all those hooks that extend from past unlearned lessons, you will continue to move along the same scale, not allowing yourself another path.
