Lesson from the Spirit
"Did you hear the birds singing?"
"Yes."
"It's beautiful, isn't it? But know as well that it's not mere idle chatter. Each of them, through its song, expresses not only its individuality but its purpose. Compare it to sending out into the space an intention to recreate something and to receive. When birds sing in unison, it mesmerizes many, makes them stop, look, reflect, sink in, as if studying some wonder, something anomalous, unusual, and therefore all the more beautiful. For choral sound reaches deeper, gives you chills.
"What are you talking about? I don't understand."
"You are all endowed with a certain character. And each of you has a primary function, besides everything else that expresses your uniqueness. In this primary function lies the path to your unfolding. But this is a misconception. Because your desire to know yourself is nothing other than the collective ripening of a single mind, a Single Soul. The more of you understand this and strive toward it in a single impulse, the more you feel power, a kind of light, as if protection from without. But that protection is only your projection of the inner component of the light you wish to share.
Where one speaks, several will come;
where many speak, all will come.
The very moment you have ripened in your desire to know more than yourselves, at that instant you ripen for the single mission of resurrecting the unity of Souls. This is not merely words or actions; it happens on the level of feeling, on the level of inner understanding of all that is unfolding.
You think you awaken alone, but alone you only once fell asleep, and upon waking you knew unity. And from that moment you are no longer a threat to yourself. You stand on the threshold of revealing the Creator's single design. And in that revelation you recognize the role of each, which led to one sole role of unity."
