Lesson from the Spirit
On the birth of life, the fall of morality, and the resurrection of the citadel of goodness and love
"You promised today to tell a lesson about the birth of life, about the fall of morality, and the resurrection of the citadel of goodness and love."
"The Citadel of Goodness and Love is not behind you, nor somewhere out there beyond the horizon. It is within you.
How can God be everywhere your eyes see, your ears hear, and your heart feels, if not through yourselves?
You feel the presence of God where you resurrect Him in your own chest.
When you are full of anger, despair, hatred, quarrels, foolish talk, you do not see the Divine manifestation around you or within you. You cannot even conceive of anything divine, unearthly, when you are full of earthly cares, indifferent to the heavenly, the spiritual.
Where heaven touches earth, there are you, those through whom the miracle appears to the world.
"Tell about the birth of life."
"There is nothing new or unusual in the birth of life except what is kept in each of you.
But do you know what true birth of life is?
It is the resurrection of memory within you.
How can heaven knock on earth when there is a whole distance between them?
But there are you, in whom the Spiritual heavenly lives in the bodily earthly.
You are the connecting element, that primitive link capable of recreating the world on this earth. You are as if between heaven and earth.
But the choice is yours, and it is obvious to many of you.
The birth of life is the resurrection of the citadel of goodness and love in the temple of your heart. If you do not hear yourself, if you close your ears to another's words, you are not capable of becoming that mediator, that messenger of heaven and earth.
Why was speech given to you?
For songs of praise, for querulous speeches, or for the resurrection of goodness and love?
Life is in each of you, kept in the single seed of the cosmos.
Each of you, feeding on the energy of that growth, moves into your own growth.
But whoever lays hands on this gift for the sake of unseemly deeds will witness the fall of their own morality through the deeds of others.
That life which was born within you, by that single seed, is the most important link connecting you with the great Creator and Sage.
But where you allow this life to be inside you not merely to exist but to triumph, there you resurrect the true flowering of that seed, which are the petals of goodness and love. One cannot be without the other.
Where you do not show your kindness and care, it is difficult to know love.
Love is the quintessence of all that exists, that moral virtue you must arrive at on your path. This is holding the balance.
Balance is understanding, through the sense of yourself as a messenger between the Spiritual and the Earthly worlds. Miss the balance anywhere, and the result will be uncertain.
Only fall by earthly deeds, and it will be difficult to raise you from your knees.
Rise too high, detach yourself from the earth, and it will be difficult for you to give the message, to bring it into the world, that which is spoken through you.
Balance.
Messengers who bring the tidings are the balance of body and soul, earth and heaven, light and darkness, yin and yang. The duality of forms inherent in many aspects of being.
But only by knowing balance within yourself will you be able to open your true purpose, to be who you are, without hiding or wandering in the shackles of your own confinement.
Where you would not allow yourselves to be seen more, now you are revealed as the true herald, the one who carries this news everywhere, awakening the seed of life within each and resurrecting the citadel of goodness and love for the exaltation and praise of the One Creator."
