Lesson from the Spirit
It shows a frozen lake. I walk on it and hear a hum beneath my feet, as if that mass of ice is speaking to me, coarse and indistinct, cracking, frightening with its sounds.
"To melt the ice, you must wait for spring. To melt an illusion you need a bright, warm light.
To drink the water, to see its sparkle, you must melt the layers of ice.
Your soul is exactly the same, it warms somewhere down there, at the bottom, and waits to awaken. To let it wake, you must get rid of that thick layer, hard and stony, built up over years, that surrounds the delicate shell of the soul. And, as with the ice, here warmth and brightness of glow are important.
But if in the case of that frozen lake heat must come from outside, your Souls ignite from within you.
You always hear your soul, but that thickness only affects how audible it is, those separate sounds that reach you, sometimes distorted and frightening.
And you try to close your own book quickly, and put it on a distant shelf, so that someday you might reach for its reading.
Nature always seeks a solution, an exit. There is winter, there will be spring and summer. Nature prepares the whole space for the awakening and release of that water from under the layers of ice.
Preparing the space is the mission that is within your power, that you are capable of. Through regular practices, through turning to the energies of the universe, to the energies of space itself, through your own intentions you prepare the space for the awakening of your own soul, for its nurturing and release.
But the soul is not water; it will not evaporate just because there is much warmth. It will accumulate that precious resource in the form of endless energies within itself, in order to be able to realize its own potential and mission.
Each soul has a certain mission, it strives for its completion. This is natural, this is what is laid into each of you. And by carrying out certain tasks you, in fact, become closer to one another than ever. For all of them (the tasks) are aimed at your healing and ascension."
