A Lesson from the Spirit
Some time ago, when the wars of the gods raged, mortals watched everything that was happening with bated breath.
Those who are deprived of eternal life in their bodies will, as a rule, always think about the consequences. That is why immortality and knowledge were taken away — those memories that are hard to reach.
It is easy to walk the path of valor and honor selflessly when there are no losses behind you, no fears, no doubts, only firm faith in the inevitable outcome. Had you eternal life in your body and knowledge of the eternity of your soul, much would become easy for you.
The fear of losing an ordinary life is merely a habit hard to shake, an instinct, as you call it. But this instinct must help you to unfold. This is not about foolish and senseless expenditure of life energy; it is about accumulating it within yourself into one great mass.
The more you confirm yourself in your faith, the more confidently you walk, the fewer fears, anxieties, and misfortunes you will have, the easier your path becomes. An ordinary person who does not consider who he is and where he is going will be afraid to take a step. The fear of losing a familiar life, which they cling to. This is not about reckless management of your own resources, but about understanding the principle of the Universe’s arrangement.
If you begin to think from the standpoint of the immortality of soul and body, through strengthening your faith, through seeking and uncovering truth, it will not merely become easier to walk — you will reach that level of understanding of life’s order at which the fact of who you are now becomes less significant, because you will later attain your true self. And in that later time you do not see a pale hope somewhere far away; you see realized matter, like a consciousness from the future that calls to you in the present.
Power is not in immortality; power is in faith and in the knowledge that is kept within you.
Gain this and all that was before — all that troubled you and gave you no rest, like an exit from imprisonment — and all that at once will acquire a completely different, insignificant meaning for the you who exists now.
