Lesson from the Spirit

"My Spirit, tell me, does God need a sacrifice or some service in return?"
"God needs only your faith.
When your faith is strong, the power of God is one.
If you think that by giving something you will receive grace in return, then those are only your honest, not wasted deeds. But that is not payment to God; it is merely payment for the cultivation of your soul.
As you raise your consciousness higher, unfolding new horizons before you, you do not only see God but become more visible to Him.
The Creator has no favorites. You are all equal. All the more does His soul weep when you do not understand this.
Do you want to know the truth, to know God, by doing something in return? In return you only grow pride, your own ego. When you do something calculating to receive a reward, you are as if entering a game, a contest in which you must win. And then you care no longer for your own soul or the souls of those near you, but only for the result you expect. God does not need sacrifices; He only points the way, but you choose the means to travel that way. This is your learning, this is your understanding of the world.
Thus, by walking your path, you grasp the basics of true teaching, of the true service placed upon you by the Creator.
But your service is not a sacrifice; it is only a means of unfolding your own soul.
All the Creator asks of you is simply to walk the road of knowing, where with each new step ancient knowledge opens within you, where with each ancient knowing new possibilities are revealed to your sight, where in the ease of realizing yourself as a true unit of all that is, you are strengthened in your faith, and become purer, lighter, more serene.
The difficulty of your path lies in attaining lightness of soul.
So, walk on, entrusting your hand to the Creator. The firmer you grasp His palm, the firmer you stand in your convictions, the easier your steps will be.
He, like a parent, stands beside you as your shadow, offering His help. But where you doubted, where you were frightened, where you panicked, turned away and forgot, there it becomes hard to walk.
Not because the road has changed, but because of what you have lost.
He does not compel but only guides, allowing you to come to the awareness of the meaning of being. Go in lightness, entrusting your hand to the One who created worlds for you, even though you have built borders within them.
And in that lightness of the soul’s soaring, know and reveal the truth within yourself.
