Today is a wondrous feast for many—Forgiveness Sunday.
This day is given to us to reflect on the role of forgiveness in the growth of our soul.

The poem came in a flow.

When, could you forgive?
When will the storms in your heart subside?
Or will a calm of soul arrive
Above the turbulent waters of former blue?

So how much time will pass
Until you can see clearly one day?
And hear and know in advance,
And not tread the same path twice?

But you are mute, and blind your gaze,
Striving only to flatter pride.
Passing through the heart like a thief,
Steal one look at the stronghold.

And you will see a light there,
A smoldering fire, but still.
For a beginning dawn
Will adorn the fair day with sun.

Stubbornness will not restrain pride,
Offense, malice—your destroyer.
To blame others viciously
Is the dwelling of treasonous designs.

Then you would be able to forgive
And see clearly in the dark distance
When the nightingales fall silent
Under the sounds of grievous sorrow.
