A Lesson from the Spirit
The Spirit shows me a withered red rose, holding it in his hand.
"Look at this rose. Its leaves have fallen, its petals have wilted. Life must be breathed into it. Water restores many forms of life on earth. Yet water is not an independent agent.
He adds water and the rose comes back to life.
"This is to nourish with energy, to replenish what is missing. How can you know what this particular rose needs? You only add water, and it takes what it needs itself. What one flower needs may be insignificant to another. You cannot guess here; you must know the right approach for each of these flowers."
He shows a vast meadow of flowers.
"You are all given equal chances and opportunities. Even if you believe otherwise, that somehow your rights are being infringed, that is only a delusion of your Ego.
You are all equal, growing on the same meadow, nourished by the same dew that falls each morning. But you receive differently those necessary blessings, those energies, those directives, those pieces of advice and knowledge that are given equally to everyone.
Seeing it this way, from the standpoint of a common environment for all, you will suddenly notice for yourselves that your chances are equal, provided there is intention, a desire to develop, and an openness to receive the blessings and gifts sent to you from above.
Receive these gifts with the generosity of your open heart, with the wisdom of your soul, and with the courage of your character. And where you doubted, and felt your weakness, your unfitness for something or someone, your insignificance—you will there find strength, confidence, inspiration, and the desire to pursue your spiritual development.
So be it. 🙏"
