A Lesson from the Spirit

We found ourselves on a handcar, gliding along a railroad track—sometimes down, sometimes up. Around us was open space, untouched nature.

"Why are we here? On this railroad?"
"Do you really think this is a railroad?"

And the Spirit lifted us high into space. There were no railroad tracks anymore. We sailed through the expanses of the cosmos on a sailing ship.

"It's so beautiful!"
"It's only a means. Means can be various on your path. The means that help you travel your path are many. Each means gives you its own sensation—the soul's soaring. It doesn't matter what you choose; what matters is that you travel, that you sail, that you fly. What matters is that there be movement in your life toward knowing yourself."
"What do you mean?"
"When you fall—you get up. That is right. When your dreams collapse—you create new ones. It is important to accept life's lessons and move on.
Everything is life—growth, nourishment, and movement. Plants also have growth and nourishment, but they lack movement; they lack will. You, however, are bearers of God's Light; you have a great gift—will. It is your striving to go forward, to know the world around you, your striving to develop, your striving to know, your striving to live. Everything you meet on the way is for your benefit.
You can buy horses, or travel—you are endowed with will in order to learn, to understand what is important for your soul, what it means to know yourself.
You can sit waiting for the most comfortable transport for you, or you can go, and then transfer to one vehicle, and then change to another. And that will certainly happen. The more you develop, the more choices you will have. The more you begin to open up and know the truth.

Do not be afraid to go, for only the one who goes falls, only to rise again.
