A Lesson from the Spirit

They show a bright point of light; it grows brighter and brighter.
- That is how your soul awakens.
- What do you mean?
- You have a period of growing up. During that time you change, acquire new traits and habits.
So your soul, waking, burns more brightly. Yet the soul’s needs do not change.
- And what then?
- You think time will pass and everything will change, but time touches only your body, not the soul. Time is unknown to the soul. Its needs do not change as your body’s needs change.
The needs of the soul are that primary unchanging thing planted in the very essence of being.
Your body has a dawn and a sunset depending on your age; the radiance of your soul also depends on certain factors, depends on your attention to it, on your desire for that radiance to be. When you want a fire to burn, what do you do?
- We toss logs on it.
- Right. But burning depends on many factors.
- What are you getting at?
- The radiance of your Soul also depends on many factors. It is not only desire. The deeds you perform, the thoughts you cultivate in yourself—these are the logs you throw onto your soul. What will happen to the fire if you put in bad wood?
- It will not burn.
- Correct. So why do you think the radiance of your soul can happen by itself? It depends on your attention. And it is not only your deeds and intentions; it is also the energy you give to the space. It is your feelings, your principles, and your faith.
Therefore, if you are gnawed by doubt and the soul’s endless torments, those turbulent currents can also extinguish the flame of your soul.
Do not let such strife become the foundation of your world-order, disrupting the whole harmony of the eternal process of your soul’s radiance.
- What must be done?
- Let go. When you go into spiritual practice, when you enter the process of knowing yourself, it is important to understand with what you go, what message you carry inside, what attitude and desire.
Go in full acceptance, with eternal unconditional love for who you are and from whom you proceed, accepting your divine essence, celebrated by the true unconditional love of the Creator. You will go to your own knowing in lightness and freedom. And in that knowing you will find the peace and quiet, the serenity and blessing that were originally given to you by the Creator. So be it.
