A Lesson from the Spirit

"Remembering is not hard; forgetting is the hardest part."
"What does that mean?"
"You remember only a small part of yourself. You reflect on it, trying to go deeper, to study, to understand, to imagine your Divine essence.
You are but one touch away from knowing the truth when you hold on to those memories of your Soul that reveal its true worth.
All your virtues are recorded, like the source of primordial strength in the eternal book of life. By remembering them, you remember yourself. You think it is somewhere out there, with someone great.
But that somewhere is here and now, and that great one is you.
So, by remembering the good in your life, you reveal yourself; you open the way to your spiritual fulfillment.
Remember the beautiful moments of your life. Have you noticed how easily and simply you recall those sweet moments—when you rejoiced, when you delighted, when you basked in goodness, joy, inspiration, happiness.
How many of those moments do you have? Look around, see. How rich is your own store?
How much tenderness do you keep in your heart, and how it fills you?
Remembering the good is not difficult.
The hardest thing is to forget the bad that was in your life.
That bad is the nonacceptance of yourself as an integral whole, as an inseparable part of one great Divine plan. To be in harmony is what was bequeathed to you.
When you allow negativity to seep into your life, you destroy that indivisible whole, permitting breaches that disrupt your harmonious order.
You try to forget all the bad that gnaws at you, but by returning to it you only torture your own soul.
And in that there is no help; in suffering there is no help."
"And what should one do?"
"You only need to accept the lesson not yet learned. With regret and understanding, with repentance, so that this lesson is not forgotten but becomes the foundation for your future actions, for your growth, for the unfolding of your own spiritual beginning within each of you. And there you will be filled with the true Divine Light of the Creator, understanding and accepting your deeds through the prism of God's Unconditional Love for you. So be it. 🙏"
